2012 theme for the Shrewsbury Carnival is 'British Heroes
- The Best of British'.
So think of what's great about Britiain and get creative!
From your favourite TV show to famous people.
We would love to hear from you if you are part of a
community organisation, dance troupe, marching band,
business or group of friends looking to have some fun.
You may wish to enter a float, car, walking group or
other mode of transport.
Entry
into the parade is free although we do ask that you collect
for our beneficiaries, collecting tins will be provided.
Are
you a charity or volunteer who would like promote a
cause close to your heart?
The Carnival’s main aim is to promote and help
charities in the local area, on the day money is collected
along the route of the parade and inside the Quarry.
Every
year we have a great selection of charities promoting
their causes and raising money in the Quarry. If you are
interested in coming along please get in touch for further
details.
It's a great way of boost your membership, raising funds,
and getting your message across to others.
We charge a small fee of £10 per pitch and this
money is put back into the local area.
Shropshire
is known for its growing number of Independent retailers
and crafts. At this year’s Carnival we hope to
bring a selection of traders together to promote and
sell their wonderful goods to the local community.

you are a local business and would like to join us in
the Quarry Park, Shrewsbury with a stall or display
we charge a small fee of £50 per pitch.
We have thousands of people visiting the Quarry Park on
Carnival day and this is a great opportunity to advertise
your brand and sell your goods.
Our
committee is made up of a small but dedicated team of
volunteers who meet once a month to discuss and develop
the event.
We also work hard on the day of the carnival to help bring
some fun and entertainment to the the people of Shrewsbury
and those who enjoy our county town.
