Enter the Parade
We would love to hear from you if you are part of a community organisation, dance troupe, marching band, business or group of friends looking to have some fun.
You may wish to enter a float, car, walking group or another mode of transport.
Entry into the parade is free although we do ask that you collect for our beneficiaries, collecting buckets will be provided.

Book a Charity, Trade or Community Stand
The show side of Shrewsbury carnival has a high footfall of visitors we estimate in the region of over 7,000 visit during the day.
We charge a small fee of £60 for a 3m x 3m pitch and each additional 3m x 3m costs £30.
Charity & Community Stand
One of Shrewsbury Carnival’s aims is to promote and help charities in the local area it is also a great way of raising funds by hosting a tombola or other fundraising method on your stall as well as getting your message across to others.
We charge a small fee of £15 for a 3m x 3m pitch and each additional 3m x 3m costs £10.

Become a Volunteer
We have lots of opportunities for people to help our Carnival team on the day.
We are looking for volunteers who can help us:
– Check in Exhibitors, Performers and Parade entries
– Distribute our magazines
– Help to man our promotional stand
– Marshall the parade
– Help litter pick
Please get in touch and let us know what you’d like to do and how much time you can give up on the day. Training will be given either on the day or beforehand depending on the roles.

Apply for Funding
Each year the Shrewsbury Carnival committee invites local charities and community groups to apply for a donation from money raised during the event.
Those successful in securing a donation are invited to a special presentation afternoon at The Lord Hill Hotel in September.
Local charities and voluntary organisations are invited to apply by completing the form on our website by the 1st September.
