Shrewsbury Carnival’s 2017 Royalty is crowned

Shrewsbury Carnival’s 2017 Royalty were crowned during our annual competition at Topaz Dance School in Shrewsbury on Sunday 19 February.

This year’s Royalty are:

Evie Smith – Carnival Queen
Ava Chaytor – Carnival Princess
Tom Wilks – Junior Carnival Crier
Teyana Hayman – Carnival Attendant
Tami Turner – Carnival Attendant

Shelley Oliver, Carnival Secretary said: “This year saw one of the biggest number of entrants for a number of years and we thank everyone who entered our Royalty Competition today, you were all fantastic.

“Thank you to the parents, grandparents, guardians and siblings for supporting. Thank you to Topaz A Gem of a Dance School for the use of their fantastic ballroom, Claire’s for donating the crowns, our judges and Steven Oliver Photography, there are many others that support us so thank you also.

“We look forward to seeing everyone at Shrewsbury Carnival on Saturday 17 June 2017.”
